Card Club Projects

A big thanks you to Llandrindod Card Club who invited me along for a workshop last Sunday. So I thought with Mothering Sunday next Sunday we'd make this card - a simple wipe swipe technique using Blushing Bride, Wisteria Wonder and Perfect Plum inks on the fabulous shimmery white card stock (IB&C p95). Then the corner stamp from the My Friend stamp set (Spring Mini p19), flowers made with the Boho Blossom punch with Pearl jewel centres. Mum stamp from the For my Family stamp set (IB&C p85), and a side crimped background with 1/4" grosgrain ribbon to finish it off.

Then, with my favourite season just around the corner, we also did this Easter card.

This is the gorgeous Easter Blossoms set (Mini catalogue p9). Here we've used Crumb cake and Baja Breeze colours, Scallop Trim Corner punch and Decorative Label Punch on naturals ivory card stock for the Easter greeting. we used Baja Breeze underneath the Victoria crochet trim for the bow to highlight the detail of this gorgeous lace ribbon. I love the silhouette of the girl and her egg collecting basket. It can easily be changed to carry flowers and then usable all year round.

Easter wouldn't be the same without a little chocolate treat, and here's how we wrap it up!

I took the inspiration for this from the Idea book, p28 and with Llandrindod card club we used Staz On and aqua painters to colour the bunny in his shell, from the Everybunny stamp set, with Decorative Label punch for Brights DSP as a background for the bunny. Then the Easter greeting from the Delightful Dozen stamp set (IB&C p85) punched out with the Modern Label punch (p116). Using Pacific Point card stock for the pillow box cut out on my overworked Big Shot ;-)

This week I was also asked along to Dolau Youth Club where we did Mother's Day and Easter cards like the ones we did at Abergavenny After school club, with the Easter treat as an addition, slightly simplified for a younger group, using the decorative label punch as a highlighted border with DSP, but the addition of background stamping for the pillow box.
