Often the inspiration for cards comes from the wrapping paper, as you can see below.
As the paper had a chalkboard look I used basic black card and whisper white ink, using multi- coloured lettering for the Birthday greeting, with 11 silver glimmer stars for each Birthday year!
The bleakness of January is always improved by the birds in the garden and so one of my January Birthday cards is a simple neutral palette for simple Birthday wishes, using the Simply Sketched hostess stamp set in Early Espresso ink and a little pencil colour.
Finally, continuing with the delicious detail of SU stamp sets here is a Birthday Greeting using the Blooming with Kindness Stamp set, in a simple, Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler and Early Espresso colour combination, with a little punch edging on the right hand side.
Keep on crafting, always possible in the rainy weather ;-) Gen xxxx
