Hot Foil First timer!

Despite getting all the gear, it remained in the delivery box for a longer time than I care to admit really! So this is my first foiled image . .

This is the Botanical Glow Bundle, the above image showing the silver foil image on Soft Sea Foam card stock, and then I printed the photopolymer stamp in Old Olive ink, as I wanted a tonal effect.

I also used Old Olive as the base card, and think I might change the greeting so it sits flat on the card, rather than raised up on dimensionals.

Keep on crafting, GenGen XxX

Let there be cake!

Sometimes, Birthday Wishes for a fourteen year old boy need reining in on my part, so hoping this is a bit less is more 🀞

In my current phase of trying to use my stash, the background of this card is a retired 6x6 DSP, and a retired blank card base which is rather lovely embossed stripes, (on the envelope flap too). The cupcake and candle is also from a previous ephemera pack, and the foam stars I think are left over from last Christmas!

The fabulous greeting IS current, from the Words and Wishes Dies, using night of Navy for the Background with Silver glimmer that I put adhesive sheet onto before running through the die for easy lettering placement, (particularly helpful for the i dot of Birthday).

Keep the Light alive with a little glimmer and sparkle,
GenGen xxx

Autumn Birthday Wishes!

As the days darken and the sunshine fades, today's Birthday card is holding onto the summer sunshine with vibrant Sunflowers (HB TIπŸŽ‰)

As always, I'm making a card with retired products! This is the now retired 3D Sunflower embossing folder. I coloured the reverse emboss image with blender brushes in Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight and Old Olive, then running the Momento black ink, pad side down on the debossed image to create the sharp contrast and make the colours pop.

The greeting is from the Balloon Festoon stamp set, printed in Pumpkin Pie on Daffodil Delight cardstock, with a Gilded Wings Butterfly, with frosted embellishments, and retired ribbon underneath the greeting ;-)

Keep the sunshine going with your card making,

GenGen XxX
