Clearance rack - supplies while they last!

Just wanted to bring everyone's attention to the clearance rack as well as the weekly deals, this promotion is from the 1st July-4th August 2015, so have linked the picture in the right bar to go to the promotion from this page. Just to give you a little inspiration, here's a card that I made with the Snowflake thinlit die.

It is of course a Birthday card inspired by the Disney film Frozen, that we can all sing the theme to now! I used some retired Christmas DSP and Bermuda Bay, Whisper White, Basic Black, Chocolate Chip and Pumpkin Pie card stock, and silver glimmer too. Greeting from Something to Say stamp set. It's so much better when it's open . . .

As a little deviation, but still with Birthday Banners in mind, with Soft Sky, Night of Navy, with simply using a star punch for embellishment

For the Birthday present a simple bow made with the Bow builder punch and some Designer Series Paper :-)

Somehow we're in July!!!!

Somehow it's July and I am playing catch up! It;s not that I haven't been doing anything, as I'm sure you are all feeling at the moment, life is rushing past, and I'm having difficulty keeping up with it! Anyway, enough of the excuses, here is that start of the catch up!! As I'm so behind I'm going to group celebrations together, at least that's the plan!

Spring/Summer catalogue inspiration!

Obviously with a catalogue release it is my cue to buy something from every page ;-) 

For a wonderful friend who has her Birthday in March I thought a little sparkle with some rhinestones was the order of the day!

A further variation of this card I did at a workshop, using some of the delicious free Sale-A-Bration Irresistibly Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper with the pattern coming to life when it resists the ink, using Modern Label and Word Punches for the greeting!

Sale-A-Bration and Summer Catalogue Inspiration . . .

Somehow, time is racing past once more and I haven't had time to catch up with workshop wonders! So this a simple two card workshop, as always keeping it simple!

 

 

Stamp Set: Lotus Blossom Photopolymer

Card stock: Calypso Coral, Whisper White

Inks: Calypso Coral, Blushing Bride, Pink Pirouette, Wild Wasabi

 

This 5x5" card, with simple 5mm layering was fun to do with the 3 step layering of the lotus flower. The arty image allows for a little imperfection of line up, but the more you print the easier it becomes. I love the simplicity of this stamp, but seriously impressed with the finished effect.

 

 

So continuing with the spring time colours, but indulging my need for matching stamps and punches with a background of new Designer Series Paper, et voila! There are four flower images of this stamp set, and as you will see later in this blog I have a serious addiction!

Happy New Year - different year, same deadline Queen!

 

You would think really, as my virtual advent finishes on the 24th December and there is a family Birthday on the 25th I could automatically post it for everyone to see. In reality it's the 17th January 2015 before I post that card and somehow I'm cutting it fine with getting January cards delivered in time!!

 

In all of the excitement of the festivities I still managed to get a pre-order for the new Spring/Summer catalogue (see right), with the added bonus of Sale-A-Bration goodies with every £45 spent - hee hee hee!

 

I'm getting the hang of the Photopolymer stamps, this one is Celebrate Today, and the visibility  allows easy alignment. As we can all do with a bit of sparkle on our Birthday, (especially when it's on Christmas Day), I've used some glimmer paper as backing, with some off cut Strawberry Slush and Wisteria Wonder for a juxtaposition layout. The matching Balloon Framelit Die just gives a little definition to the balloon border, and I kept the colours pink for a girl, with Pink Pirouette Ink for the balloon. This format is easily transformed for the first boy birthday of January, with a change of colour.

 

Having had a little time to root through my SU stash it has allowed ne to realise quite how much DSP is hiding in the corners ;-) I thought this retired DSP co-ordinated superbly with Brights Bermuda Bay, using the Die for the balloon, printing in Night of Navy. Makes a superb matching present tag too ;-)
