PASSIONETTES SAB 2012 BLOG HOP!

Hello and welcome to our blog hop!
You most probably arrived here from Teri's blog, didn't you just loved her projects?
I thought they were stunning.

Here's is a sweet project Monica (as my original blog was eaten by the ether!) designed using one of FREE sets you can earn during the SAB period called Sprinkled Expressions.

All supplies Stampin'Up! unless otherwise stated
PAPER: Pretty in pink, Wild wasabi, whisper white card stock, Just add Cake DSP
INK: pretty in pink, melon mambo and basic black
STAMPS:Sprinkled expressions
TOOLS:Pillow box die, Big Shot, 11/4" circle punch, Lattice square embossing folder, large oval punch, small oval punch, corner rounder punch
ACCESSORIES:Pretty in Pink satin ribbon, Rhinestones, Self adhesive pearls

For the card I stamped the love heart image in pretty in pink ink and added some pearls and rhinestones to it. The top corners were rounded and the sentiment was stamped in 2 colours using markers.

Next the pillow box
The box was cut on the Big shot with the pillow box die in pretty in pink card.
The sleeve was made from Just Add Cake designer paper and the small oval punch was used to create a handle.
Stamped the flower from the set in pretty in pink ink and the outer edges of the stamp were rolled in melon mambo ink to create a contrasting effect.

Hope you enjoyed Monica's projects - who very kindly saved the blog hop by doing these gorgeous projects. I am continuing to have technical difficulties, and hope to post my own project before the end of the day - bear with me!

Here's hoping that I can get these published on my third attempt!

Paper: SAB Everyday Enchantment DSP, Very Vanilla
Ink: In Colour markers 2011/2013 Pool Party, Calypso Coral, Lucky Limeade & Wisteria Wonder
Stamps: SAB Fresh Vintage
Tools: Scallop Trim Corner punch, small circle punch, Beautiful Wings embosslit
Accessories: 3/8" Very Vanilla Velvet Ribbon (Mini p11), Pearl jewels

Here's the sensational sale-a-bration DSP as the background with a Very Vanilla corner punched plate for the individually coloured stamp in the centre. Two of the smallest butterflies (just like the pattern of the DSP), and the flower centres highlighted with pearls. Then I used the small circle punch 4 times in the base of the card and used the outer loops of the corner punch to thread the velvet ribbon through to tie the bow at the front.

Paper: Everyday Enchantment DSP, Pool Party
Ink: Pool Party, Calypso Coral, Lucky Limeade
Stamps: SAB Fresh Vintage,Swirls & Curls Verses (Hostess from Mini)
Tools: Scallop trim border punch, small circle punch, Triple Doily Punch
Accessories: Pearl jewels, Pear Pizazz Seam Binding

Here, I scalloped punched the right hand border, then placed the DSP, printed the flowers, printing two of the large flowers to have a contrasting central element. Printing the greeting an border on pool party card stock, fixing in place with snail adhesive. Finally tying the seam binding at the bottom of the card, using dimensionals for all flowers, with a double layer of dimensionals to hide  the ribbon knot. I so love that the doily punch complements this set :-)

And on a final note, simply because I love this DSP so much I have used the same DSP and stamp set with Whisper White ink, contrasting on the Poppy Parade Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die, with pearl jewels for the body.

Then a swirls & curls greeting on Very Vanilla card stock, punched oval with Poppy Parade scalloped oval punch.

I just wanted to show off the detail of the DSP as the pattern is really gorgeous, let me know what you think and leave a comment for me :-)

Thank you for visiting me today, keep on crafting, Gen xxx

Hop on over to  Tara, ENJOY !!!

Planet Penguin - for Finlay!

A Birthday card for the Fabulous Finlay - a serious fan of Planet Penguin. So here, for his 9th Birthday are 9 Gymnastic penguins for his 9th Birthday!!

These are simply made from the owl punch with the wings of the top penguins trimmed down from the bird punch so they can hold the Birthday Banner (sentiment from Party this Way set)!

Colours used are Marina Mist, Daffodil Delight and Whisper White. Stamped the envelope with the sentiment from the Swirls & Curls Verses (p5) from the new hostess set of the Mini catalogue.

Also used this stamp for a Birthday card and used the balloons for the age!

Birthday card catch up!

Just before I get carried away with showcasing the new mini catalogue, just thought I would catch up with December Birthday cards! One of the first stamp sets I bought from the new Idea Book was the Creative Elements set (p67), and here are three different versions of it :-)

So here you see a whisper white print of the flower flourish, highlighted with rhinestones, then the gorgeous sentiment from the Happiest Birthday Wishes hostess set (p11), then of course the Beautiful Wings embosslit butterflies done with the gorgeous new brushed silver card stock (p95), and then a stamped off image of the tatted butterfly on the envelope from the Creative elements set.

So here are a couple of other examples from the same set, the card on the right shows the flower flourish done in the new Tempting Turquoise embossing powder (p111), with Baja Breeze seem binding at the right hand side and the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Party This Way stamp set. On the right I have used Rose Red and Early espresso and then put a vellum butterfly over the printed tatted butterfly underneath. Now for Mini catalogue distraction ;-) keep on crafting Gen x
