Thinking of friends

Created this card for my gorgeous girlfriend JBH who is just starting her fight with thankfully early diagnosed cancer with a little c, sending lots of love.

This colour mix of this card is Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake and Cherry Cobbler. I've used the Morning Meadow hostess set and the coordinating pansy punch, layering the flowers with dimensional and finishing with a central large pearl. The Greeting is from the Blooming with Kindness stamp set.

Keep on crafting, Gen xxxx

Birthday's birthday's everywhere!

Often the inspiration for cards comes from the wrapping paper, as you can see below.

As the paper had a chalkboard look I used basic black card and whisper white ink, using multi- coloured lettering for the Birthday greeting, with 11 silver glimmer stars for each Birthday year!

The bleakness of January is always improved by the birds in the garden and so one of my January Birthday cards is a simple neutral palette for simple Birthday wishes, using the Simply Sketched hostess stamp set in Early Espresso ink and a little pencil colour.

Finally, continuing with the delicious detail of SU stamp sets here is a Birthday Greeting using the Blooming with Kindness Stamp set, in a simple, Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler and Early Espresso colour combination, with a little punch edging on the right hand side.

Keep on crafting, always possible in the rainy weather ;-) Gen xxxx

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!

As always at this time of year, I am always hankering for things past when all that is new and fresh approaches. Sale-A-Bration starts 28th January, same launch date for the Spring/Summer catalogue too ;-) 2013 seemed to pass in a flash and already it's 2014!!

Above is a simple New Year card that I made with a retired snowflake stamp set that I think look like fireworks and then a central plaque using the Memorable Moments stamp set with the matching Thinlit to cut around the plaque.

Keep on crafting, especially in the bad weather ;-)
