 . . . longest night! So with that in mind a card created with golden light in the windows of the houses!

It doesn't look like we'll see deep and crisp and even, so wanted the buildings to just get a shade darker with each row, creating a little depth with dimensionals.

11th Advent Window

 This time from some of the sensational Star Wire Elements,

that are showcased in the Joyus Noel Suite.

 

This is literally less is more, as I have again simply added the copper wire element to the copper earring hooks, just what I needed for my last card workshop!

Advent Window 10

Sorry for the darkness of this photo, 

but I wanted the vellum panel to illuminate ;-)

This little lantern can be made easily with 2 x 7" by 8" panels, scoring at 3 3/4" and 7 1/2" to make the four panels and two half inch tabs for construction. 

I just cut one window for the vellum panel, with a 2cm border. 

I've used Soft Suede for the lantern, Early Espresso for the Prancing Deer from the Detailed Deer Thinlit dies, and then Versa Mark for the background stamp of the Dashing Deer Stamp Set. 

I found some fabulous copper wire lights with a battery pack that allow window long illumination.

So a simple start for this year's advent blog . . .

Accessories: Swirls & Curls TIEF (here used in deboss), Detailed Deer Thinlit dies, Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

The deep embossing folder shortened the length of the textured background, so the red border greeting squares up the layout again. 

I used Multipurpose Adhesive sheets for the gold foil die cuts to keep the foil clear of adhesive.

Frosty Birthday Wishes

So a few of the card from the latest Talgarth Workshop, with my only struggle being that they were all Christmased out as they've been batch making for Market sales!

I obviously bought the whole bundle, Designer Series Paper and gorgeous velvet ribbon :-) I used the fabulous silver foil edged cards and envelopes for a little extra shine. 

Using the clear mount bundle allows you build the colour with the Stamparatus and markers, which adds a little extra depth.

Quick cards - again ;-)

I know it's not long ago that I posted this Delightfully Detailed Suite, but just thought I would quickly post two other versions form the same stash :-)

These cards turned into perfect notecards for a couple of friends I never seem to catch up with as often as I should, and they still have a handmade card, even when I'm a little short of time ;-)

Sensational Diamond Celebrations

My fabulous Aunt and Uncle celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary in August. I wanted a simple design and as you can see my heart Thinlit has been well used recently.

I used some retired silver foil vellum as a base, using the Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper for the foreground heart and Large Numbers Thinlits for the Silver Glimmer Paper diamond effect of the numbers with a little 1/4" Rich Razzleberry Velvet Ribbon at the side, and a few rhinestones in the roses.

So pleased to see roses on the celebration cake, such a flower of love.

September Sunflowers

Recently we received a wedding party invite with a wood and sunflower design, so our card looked like this . . .

I used some of the Wood Textures 6"x6" Designer Series Paper in a simple heart shape, 

Stamp Set: Painted Harvest, Make a Difference (for the Initials)

Card Stock: Very Vanilla, Old Olive

Ink: Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry, Soft Suede, Garden Green, 

Versamark and Copper embossing powder (initials)

Accessories: Leaf Punch and 5/8" Burlap Ribbon

Obviously when you get a bit carried away with a stamp set it can spill over . . 

which consists of similar things, with Granny Apple Green and Old Olive for the foliage, some offcuts of the burlap ribbon and some of the new 1/2" Textured Weave Ribbon in Granny Apple Green, giving me notice board inspiration ;-)

The lovely ladies of Talgarth asked me to a workshop at the end of August and one request was for Vellum Embossing, so we made this . . . with embossing folder and heat embossing!
