Quick cards - again ;-)

I know it's not long ago that I posted this Delightfully Detailed Suite, but just thought I would quickly post two other versions form the same stash :-)

These cards turned into perfect notecards for a couple of friends I never seem to catch up with as often as I should, and they still have a handmade card, even when I'm a little short of time ;-)

Sensational Diamond Celebrations

My fabulous Aunt and Uncle celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary in August. I wanted a simple design and as you can see my heart Thinlit has been well used recently.

I used some retired silver foil vellum as a base, using the Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper for the foreground heart and Large Numbers Thinlits for the Silver Glimmer Paper diamond effect of the numbers with a little 1/4" Rich Razzleberry Velvet Ribbon at the side, and a few rhinestones in the roses.

So pleased to see roses on the celebration cake, such a flower of love.

September Sunflowers

Recently we received a wedding party invite with a wood and sunflower design, so our card looked like this . . .

I used some of the Wood Textures 6"x6" Designer Series Paper in a simple heart shape, 

Stamp Set: Painted Harvest, Make a Difference (for the Initials)

Card Stock: Very Vanilla, Old Olive

Ink: Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry, Soft Suede, Garden Green, 

Versamark and Copper embossing powder (initials)

Accessories: Leaf Punch and 5/8" Burlap Ribbon

Obviously when you get a bit carried away with a stamp set it can spill over . . 

which consists of similar things, with Granny Apple Green and Old Olive for the foliage, some offcuts of the burlap ribbon and some of the new 1/2" Textured Weave Ribbon in Granny Apple Green, giving me notice board inspiration ;-)

I have kept the initial design very simple with a little fussy cutting of the flowers and leaves, and in my attempt to repeat the card in demonstration I added a little Rich Razzleberry 1/4" velvet ribbon . . 

The possibilities are endless ;-)

Autumn Inspiration

Autumn is my FAVORITE season, the leaves are starting to change colour and fall even this early. This allows another exploration for a male card at this time of year too.

Vellum embossing

The lovely ladies of Talgarth asked me to a workshop at the end of August and one request was for Vellum Embossing, so we made this . . . with embossing folder and heat embossing!

Stamp set: Dragonfly Dreams

Card Stock: Card base of Bermuda Bay, Whisper White to highlight dragonfly wing colouring 

and Vellum for folder embossing and dragonfly

Ink: Versamark and black embossing powder,

 Memento Tuxedo black and Stampin' Write markers to colour the back of the dragonfly wings

Accessories: Detailed Dragonfly Thinlit dies, Softly falling TEIF, Triple banner punch,

 5/8" Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon and assorted sequins positioned with the fabulous Take Your Pick tool
