A few cards for friends

One of my favorite things is to make a card just because and pop it in the post when a friend least expects it :-)

As always, it's a less is more approach!

Card stock: Old Olive, Early Espresso

I think colouring in is as close as I get to meditation ;-) Here's something from the Everyday section of the New Catalogue . . .

Birthday Blossoms Stamp, for more than Birthdays!

One of the first cards I made with this stamp set was a Birthday Card!

To comply with thin postage requirements I simple used the shetchy flower as a background and the greeting of the stamp set in Melon Mambo Ink, with a Tempting Turquoise Butterflies thinlit.

This stamp set coordinates with the Pansy Punch, and my next card, also celebrating a summer anniversary uses the punch.

Stamp Set: Birthday Blossom and retired greeting
Card stock: Soft Suede and Very Vanilla
Ink: Soft Suede
Accessories: Pansy Punch, Wooden leaves from a clearance event and In Colour Blossom Accents

And finally, should you have printed and punched too many flowers it's an ideal time to make another card using a crumb cake Note Card and swiftly pop it in the post to a friend.

As you can see, I'm still persisting in stamping off and appreciate the structure of the stamped image, you can also see that I have lots of cream buttons for flower centers :-)

Keep on crafting, GenGen xxxx

Summer Anniversaries

With my little section of Anniversaries I start with the card that I made for our Wedding Anniversary. Very pain and simple, with a background of Fancy Foil Vellum and 17 simple Gold Foil hearts punched out with a small heart punch and arranged into a heart.

Continuing with the Heart theme . . .

I used a heart thinlit die as a guide and raided my button jar and some retired SU clear heart buttons in the mix, with a greeting from a retired stamp set, buttons simple secured by glue dots.

And finally, some proper stamping!

As part of the Clearance Rack is a reduction on the Circle Card Thinlit, while stocks last.
I'm thinking of using this card format as one of my Christmas card designs, as the flip aspect of it creates a nice surprise.

Stamp Set: Summer Silhouettes and retired greeting
Ink: 2015-2017 In Colours Tip Top Taupe, Cucumber Crush, Delightful Dijon, Watermelon Wonder
Card stock: Sahara Sand, Very Vanilla
Accessories: Circle Card Thinlit and 2 1/2" Circle Punch

Decades to celebrate

Seem to have had a spate of Birthday's with zeros on the end, so thought I would gather them together to show you here.

As a collective we thought an appropriate gift for Mark would be a zip wire experience in Snowdonia, so made this card to go along with the present.

Stamp Set: Sassy Salutations
Ink: Versa Ink and Pewter Embossing powder
Card stock: Soft Sky, Old Olive, Garden Green, Whisper white, Silver Glimmer and Vellum
Accessories: Island Indigo Baker Twine for the zip wire and Big Shot numbers

Here's one that I simply used a Pacific Point Hello You thinlit greeting with some embellishments that were hanging round at home, on a background of Pink Pirouette card stock, and some rhinestone embellishments.

For friends, there is NEVER enough bunting . . . .

As you can see I'm obsessed with the Hello You Thinlit, here in Brushed Silver, on a background of retired DSP. With Tempting Turquoise numbers and Banner Bunting with Birthday silver writing.

My other fail safe on the quick card front is the Celebrate Today Stamp set and co-coordinating Balloon Framelit Die. I prefer to use card stock with the die and then the Photopolymer stamp set makes positioning easy.

Stamp set: Celebrate Today
Ink: Night of Navy
Card stock: Cherry cobbler, Tempting Turquoise, retired DSP, Silver Glimmer
Accessories: Balloon Framelit die, Confetti Stars Border Punch

And last but not least . . . .

A little sparkle for a 70th :-)

Stamp set: Everything Elanor for the background swirl, Butterfly Basics
Card stock: Tempting Turquoise, Blackberry Bliss, Silver glimmer
Accessories: Butterflies thinlits, Big shot numbers, Rhinestones

Keep on crafting, whichever decade you're in :-) GenGen xxxx

Double Celebrations!

Somehow the twins have reached their 7th Birthday, this years card is simple in essence, and of course inspired in a back to front way as I did the tags for their Birthday parcels.

Stamp set: Sprinkles with Life
Ink: Night of Navy
Card stock: Soft Sky, Silver Glimmer
Accessories: Hello You Thinlits, Little Letters Thinlits, Tree Builder Punch

Here's the parcel tag that started it all off . . .

Here is the other side of the dynamic duo . . . in Strawberry Slush and Blushing Bride . .

Parcel tags too . . .

In the parcel was a journal and they started it by putting their name tags in the first page, undoubtedly they have done lots of exciting things over the summer holidays that they have been able to document.
