In colours 2014-2016

I had such high hopes for my week off, and somehow I'm at the end! So if I do nothing else I WILL update my blog!! So here goes, a couple more of my examples of playing around!

This is the fabulous Flowering Flourishes stamp, printed in Mossy Meadow ink, with flower details printed from the Something to Say stamp set with the matching Itty Bitty Accents punch pack, printed in Lost Lagoon and Blackberry Bliss - also plainly punched out of this cardstock too. With simple pearl embellishments and sentiment from Teeny Tiny Sentiments.

Continuing with the In Colour creations I made this card for a friend who is winning his fight. Although the large Star is from a retired stamp set, all the rest is up to date - honest!. As well as the Something to Say stamp set, which I used the Banner Framelit die for the whisper white pennant with Lost Lagoon Ink, I've used the Perfect Pennants stamp set, and squeezed in some bunting for this fabulous celebration! The bunting at the top is of course the Banner punch and the star from the Itty Bitty Punch pack. You can never have too much bunting, or restorative cake ;-)

Keep on crafting - it's the ideal shade in the heat of the day :-)

Birthday Catch up!

This week saw the terrific twelfth Birthday for my niece Down Under. Hope you had a really wonderful Birthday - thought I would add a bit of sparkle to the Australian winter with this . . .

Stamp: Swallowtail
Card stock: Strawberry Slush, Whisper White & Silver glimmer paper
Ink: Versa mark & Tempting Turquoise embossing powder
Accessories: Simple numbers for Big Shot, retired flower embossing folder for front panel, large rhinestones for flower centres

My first attempt at a stepper card, but quite pleased with the result :-)

Today is my Seriously Sassy Septuagenarian Dad's Birthday, I know he won't mind me letting people know his age, (a bit of give away when you see inside his card), as he is blissfully unaware of virtual media and the like. Although has just had Birthday greetings from Australia via the wonders of Skype :-)

As you can see from the front of the card, the numbers are quite subtle!

Stamp sets: Another Great Year (retired) and the star from Something to say.
Card stock: Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White, Real Red and Pear pizzazz DSP inside.
Ink: Memento Ink, Real Red and Old Olive Blendabilities (also my first attempt).
Accessories: Card base Pop 'n' Cuts & Deco Labels dies for Big Shot, Simple Die numbers, Small scalloped trimmer blade for Stampin' Trimmer

Here's hoping your Birthday is as Sensational as you are Dad ;-)

Birthdays birthdays everywhere!

In the greater scheme of things I should realistically be posting new projects I have done with my pre-order goodies, but as always I'm running a little behind! To the degree that these cards are from June!!

Here is the card I made earlier! Just when I've been playing around with colours and shading SU release BLENDABILITIES, so you can guess what is at the top of my new Wish List ;-) Although this stamp set is now retired I think colouring in will still be a favourite relaxation, just to get the hang of blending - hee hee hee! As always this card has a real less is more approach, keeping to a blue palette for a boy!

Somehow 6 years have passed and the twins L&E celebrated a sensational sixth Birthday! As you can see my love of numbers and words and bagging a bargain with the retired candles jumbo wheel has had a big influence! Six candles to celebrate six years - where has the time gone?
