This look is achieved by brayering the Soft Sea Foam ink onto the debossing surface of the embossing folder. I initially did it with Pear Pizzazz Ink, but felt the contrast between the colour and the white embossed flowers was too strong for the delicate pink.

A little more simple stamping

The Demonstrators challenge of simple stamping, reminded me that it was the clarity of image and the ease of reproducing a clear printed image that enticed me into the Stampin' Up! family in the first place. 

At difficult times, I often turn to card making to make sense of events that happen, and this week as most families look forward to celebrating Mothers Day, some times it's when we miss them most, even though they're always in our hearts.

May Birthday down under!

Thinking more about the simple stamping challenge, it allowed me to consider the reasons I got involved with Stampin' Up! in the first place, and at a make and take workshop at the NEC the thing that got me hooked was the ease of printing clear images and allowing creative freedom with beautiful images.

As some of my family relocated to Australia, their seasons are upside down too, so as we unfurl from winter looking forward to spring, their summer is ending and by May autumn will be approaching, so my nephew's Birthday is now in autumn :-) so his card is inspired by autumn falling leaves.

The Stampin' Up! UK office has been encouraging demonstrators to share simple stamping projects, so thought I would join in, as being the deadline queen I am it has given me even more reason to be in my craft room in this glorious March weather ;-)

Continuing with male cards . .

Recently some significant Birthdays for family and friends warranted an Escape Room experience, so with that in mind I created this card to go along with the gift experience. I wanted the appearance of the card to look like a cell, hence the colour scheme.

Card stock: Basic Grey, Smoky Slate

Accessories: At Home framelit dies, White embossing paste and Pattern Party Decorative Mask (Brick)

As I wanted the greeting to be specific I simply used a labeller, 

and for the inside too,

Hoping that those concerned did escape the room though!

Birthday Boy Racer!

I often get asked for Male cards at workshops, but the Spring/Summer catalogue Garage Suite has made this challenge a lot easier, with the designer series paper and thinlit dies ;-)

Sale-A-Bration till 31st ONLY!

So, I have managed to spoil myself with new spring/summer goodies and therefore enjoy Sale-A-Bration Free items, without managing to post my efforts! As SAB only runs till 31st of March I think I need to get a wiggle on with posting my recent projects!!

As you can probably guess, my time is sometimes short, so the Incredible Like You project Kit has been really handy of late. Although I didn't buy the co-ordinating stamps, there are many greetings that you can use as alternatives. This card from the kit is a particular favorite of mine.
